Avô River Beach is bathed by the Alva River and the Pomares River. This confluence of two waterways forms the well-known Picoto Island, where a pleasant picnic area is located.

The Roman Ruins of Bobadela are among the most remarkable remains of the Roman presence in Portugal. Scattered throughout the village’s historic centre, these archaeological remains reflect the importance of Bobadela over two thousand years ago.

Piódão is a picturesque village nestled in the Serra do Açor, set on a steep mountainside with a dense network of narrow, winding streets that blend harmoniously with the rugged landscape. The rich pastures of the Serra de São Pedro do Açor, fed by numerous natural springs, once attracted Lusitanian shepherds who grazed their flocks in the area.

This leisure area is located in the Seia River valley, between Ervedal da Beira and Lagares da Beira. It offers easy access to the banks of the Seia River, a parking area, a welcoming viewpoint where visitors can enjoy the surrounding landscape, and a pedestrian walkway that winds over the river, directly opposite the Ribeira Weir. It is a peaceful and scenic spot, ideal for relaxing and appreciating the natural beauty of the area.

The Mozarabic Church of São Pedro de Lourosa, located in the historic village of Lourosa, is one of the finest examples of pre-Romanesque architecture in Portugal. According to the inscription found on the building, it dates back to 912 AD.
